Text

My dearest Brother

I was so glad to get your letter of April tenth. I have been wondering what you were thinking about and doing. Have you turned away from the proposal that we were discussing just before you left? I can’t help hoping that you have not. It seemed to me thoroughly worth considering, and I think that the men concerned were willing to meet your wishes very handsomely. Please let me know what you have done and determined. McAdoo was speaking to me about it only the other day.
It is delightful to hear that you are all well and that Kate is getting her strength back after the distressing ordeal she went through. We are all quite well, though I have had a touch of neuritis in my left shoulder, perhaps due to cold as well as to fatigue.
It has been very gratifying the way in which the country has commented upon my action in addressing Congress in person, and everything seems to be going very well here indeed. We wish for you again and again. It was delightful to have you even for a little while

All join in the warmest love.
Woodrow Wilson

Mr. Joseph R. Wilson,
