Text

My dear Governor:

Thank you warmly for your letter of March twenty-eight which is laid before me this morning.

It is very cheering to hear what you say of the prospects of the Jury Reform. I think the whole state will be aroused about the matter before we get through with it, and it is something that is worth rousing it about.

I am sincerely obliged to you for your permission to publish your reply, which I shall do with pleasure. I congratulate you on the decision of calling an extra session if it should be necessary.
May I suggest that you consult with Gaskill about the form in which the bill shall finally be put through? I have just received a letter from him which has made a very great impression on me, and I know you would be glad to hear what he has said to me.

Cordially and faithfully yours
Woodrow Wilson

Hon. James F. Fielder,
Governor of New Jersey
