Uncle Sam
Sir we as colored people of the south is having a dreadful time down here
all of the men are being taken away linched and persecuted
we wemon are left in a suffering condition being treated awful cruel
nothing can we do
so we are trying to report our condition to some one in to commonest way that you may look after us or do what is necessary at once who have we to look to for support we are begging for mercy
Oblige.
