Text
Dear Tumulty
Would you do me the great favour of re-writing this statement and carefully (through the Dep’ts concerned) verifying and, if necessary, elaborating the statements of fact? Creel, I know, has been working on it. He can probably help you materially.
My chief - and only - suggestion is, to make it as restrained and quietly impressive as possible.
