To the Director.
Sir:
I have the honor to state, that Lieutenant Wurtz, in charge of the midnight watch, told me this morning that white men and women, made objection to colored men and women, eating with them. Wurtz moved the colored men and women, a few tables apart from the others. One colored girl whose name he did not take, said she had a right to eat at any table. She was not offensive. The early morning lunch is served to all employes, at the mens side of cafe.
Respectfully,
F B Lehane
Captain of watch.
