Left/ Ada at 9:30 PM on a special train for Camp Dodge Iowa. Reached Camp Dodge on Sept. 22. at 10:30 PM and then was in the Army 352 Inf. N.A. Went home on a furlough on the 18th day of Nov. and had a 6 1/2 day furlough and got back to Camp Dodge on the day of Nov. 23rd in the night and then getting ready for Camp Pike Ark.
And got here Thanksgiving night the 28th of Nov. and was assigned in the 348 Inf. NA and left Camp Dodge Iowa the 27th of Nov. in the morning at Dodge and left Camp Pike the 13th day of April for Camp Greene NC and arrived on the 15th assigned to the Casual Co. No. 1 Transferred from the Casual Co. to the 10 Battalion Machine gun Co. B. on the 18th day of April and Transferred from Camp Greene NC to Camp Mills LI, NY on the 23rd day of Apr. at 1:30 PM and arrived at Camp Mills on the 24th day of April at 5:PM and was at Camp Mills 2 weeks. Left from there on the 6th day of May and left US the 7th of May and somewhere in France on the 17th of May and left this Camp the 20th

When on guard or otherwise
General orders

1. To take charge of this post and all government property in view.
2. To walk my post in a military manner keeping always on the alert and observing
everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
3. To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.
4. To repeat all calls from posts more distance from the guardhouse then my own
5. To quit my post only when properly relieved.
6. To receive. obey and pass on to the sentinel who relieves me all orders from the
commanding officer, officer of the day, and officers. and non-commissioned
officers ofthe guard only.
7. To talk to no one except in line of duty.
8. In case of fire or disorder to give the alarm.
9. To allow no one to commit a nuisance on or near my post
I 0. In any case not covered by instructions to call the corporal of the guard.
II. To salute all officers and all colors and standards not cased.
12. To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for challenging, to
challenge all persons on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass without
proper authority.

Special orders for sentinels at the post of the guard.

19.9 Between reveille and retreat to turn out the guard for all persons designated by the commanding officer, for all colors or standards not cased. and in time of war for all armed parties approaching my post. except troops at drill and reliefs and detachments of the guard. At night, after challenging any person or party, to advance no one, but call the corporal of the guard. repeating the answer to the challenge.
