—Now the Cabots speak Yiddish by God—
Swanson says to Mrs Wilson at Capital lunch
The white oaks—a forest of them because they do not bend—whereas the red oaks won’t bend—they are alone—WW says Carter Glass is a red oak
—WW said C Glass Speech on armistice day was one of the finest he ever heard—a gem—
