MONDAY.
The President spent a busy day at the Peace Conference and in the evening said to me:
“The French people are the hardest I ever tried to do business with.”
The President characterized Mr. Bougeois, who made a speech, as a man of many words. Practically the entire day was wasted in talking chiefly by the French.
