My dear Dr. Baruch:
re Hydrotherapy
You are certainly a genuine and true friend to write me so frankly and giving me the advantage of your valuable advice. It was just what I wanted. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for the same.
I am keeping a copy of the paper on Hydrotherapy. I am returning the original to you herewith and also sending you a typewritten copy of it. I told the President about your letter and your valued suggestions, and he was deeply touched. I am happy to be able to report progress, although it is slow.
Bernie is here and it is a comfort to me to have a friend to talk to in time of trouble -- and it is even a greater comfort to the President to know that he is here helping to look out for the country’s interests.
Please convey my warmest regards to Mrs. Baruch, in which Mrs. Grayson would heartily join if she knew I were writing.
Again, many, many thanks for your generous letter.
