Dearest,

Indications are that we will be starting on the Western trip the first week in August. To-day the President promised to be in Los Angeles, California by the 12th of August, if possible and he plans on making a number of stops en route. It looks as if my next visit to you will be a brief one, but I am counting on being with you, if only for a day.

Mr & Mrs. Rolfe Bolling dined here to-night. I spent the entire forenoon at the medical school—most of the afternoon with Willie Braisted.

The weather is better to-day. Hope all is going well with you and the boys. I placed $10000 in American Security & Trust Co. to-day; received notice of overdrawn account $29-

Dearest love,
