My Dear Cary
I came out here a couple of weeks ago to be wi with Key, who is having a much more bitter fight in the primaries than he ever had before. Owing to the fight waged against him openly by Senator McCarran. I have been working night and day with kKey and I am sure we Will come out wivth flying colors September 4th.
Your thoughtful letter reached me this morning enclosing Mortons check which will help a lot. Many thanks from Key and also myself.
The President is stronger in the west today than he was in 1932.
Reno, the Banner Republican County in Nevada for the first time in forty years shows a Democratic majority in the registration.
I hope you and Gertrude and the boys have had a happy summer and that you have taken good care of yourself. Don’t forget Cary you are one of the few of God’s noblemen in my estimation and please take care of your self and don’t try to over do.
Will wire you the night of the primary election September 4th.
With love to you and Gertrude and the boys.
Affectionately
Ray
