Text

My dear Cary

Happy Argo will be delivered to you by Max Hirsch some time soon in Maryland. I have insurance on him so let me know when you finally take him over so that I can stop it.

I want you to understand that if you don’t want him or you feel there is any risk of losing money on him, let me know and I shall be glad to keep him myself and send him to Kentucky. But I promised him to you and I am keeping my promise. I don’t want you to take him unless you feel you are getting something valuable. I hope he will be as happy an acquistion as High Time, but of course that is difficult to say.

I wouldn’t want you to dispose of any interest in him and if ever you want to get rid of him I wish you would let me know as I do not want to see him pass into unfriendly hands.

The Knot filly is rounding into a much better looking and better going horse. The Gnome colt looks better but is inclined to be a little loggy.

Affectionately yours,
