Dear Admiral
I am ashamed of myself that I have never made the suggestions in regard to the title of your magnus opus that I promised. The fact is I have been simply overwhelmed with work and under great pressure to get the copy to the book publishers so that my book will come out this fall. I never dreamed there would be so much work involved. I begin now to see the faint streakings of the dawn when I shall be free again.
I have really given quite a bit of thought to your plan, which I am confident, if you can develop it as you hope to do, will make a good book. The title I like best is simply “The Health of the Presidents”. This describes the work accurately and at the same time is interesting in itself. You may have a lot better one, but this is the best I can think of up to date.
I am planning to be down again about August first, and if you are anywhere in the offing I shall take pains to board you and have a visit.
Cordially yours,
RSB
