Dear Admiral
I thought you might care to glance at this speech of mine on the League. It seems it will answer how to fight for it: but those who believe in it have got to do it if they want results.
I was disappointed with the result at San Francisco: but both ticket & platform are better, from my point of view, than the result in Chicago. Harding represents the worst reactionary elements in our life. Personally, I want to see a real liberal party which I can support whole-heartedly: but I have little hope of it in this campaign.
