Text

Dear General

Thank you for your very cordial letter of March 17th and for your kind invitation to visit you. Unfortunately for me, circumstances are such at present that I cannot absent myself even for a day. However, should I have an opportunity to get away later on I know of nothing that would give me greater pleasure than to come down and have a visit with you. There are lots of things I would love to talk over with you. In the meanwhile, should you visit Paris, please let me know, as I shall at least like to have you break bread with me.

I congratulate you on the wonderful work you are accomplishing in your vocational training work. I am delighted to know that everything is going so well with you. You have the faculty of putting the “p” in the “pep” of everybody you come in contact with.

With best wishes,

Faithfully,

Your friend,

Cary T. Grayson
