Text
My dear Dr. Grayson
Pardon the liberty of a stranger in thus writing you—but my little grandson Robert Lynn Bernhardt Jr— insists that I send you a letter for him to say—he has since his infancy asked God’s blessings daily for the President & since the President’s illness he has been very solicitous—He asks me to say—he daily asks God to help you make the President well & adds “when he gets well—I want him to whip those bad men in Congress who will not mind our great President—”
I recall meeting you in Washington at the White House—when my daughter was a pupil at — in 1907
Mrs. Henry Black (Fannie Waite) introduced us—With earnest prayers for the speedy recovery of our President & with best wishes—
Very truly yours
(Mrs.) Kate Davis Crenshaw
