Text

Sir

The thanks of the Nation are due to you for carrying out the dying request of the late Mrs Woodrow Wilson, which was reported to be, “take good care of Woodrow.”

The President is not his own, for many of us gave time and attention to have him our President, and we pray for him here every day—In Europe, and in Asia, as well as in America, his life is valuable, and we all ought to do our duty in trying to have him, and his good influence, and good judgment, that was of tremendous use in Europe, for I am from Ireland, and know some what.

Now, may I ask, ought you take him to South California for the winter? You can see by enclosure that Dr Stokes, Secretary Yale University, intends to spend most of the winter in New Zealand, and, Mrs Stokes

Geo. Brereton.
