Text
My dear Doctor Grayson
I enclose with this copy of a letter which I am taking the liberty of sending over to the President this morning, relative to the Gettysburg trip, which explains itself.
I sincerely hope that it may be possible for us to carry out this plan some week-end shortly, and do give me a few days notice, if possible, so that we may be sure to have Secretary McAdoo and Colonel Taylor with us.
We will have no trouble in taking care of the President’s escort at the camp.
Sincerely yours,
Jno. Skelton Williams
