Text
My dear Mr. Allen:
Thank you warmly for your kind letter of October 12th. I know the President will be touched by your solicitous interest. I am happy to be able to report that he is improving slowly, but it is a long, hard pull. I am hopeful, however, for the best that can be expected in the circumstances.
Please convey my kindest regards to Mrs. Allen, and with best wishes for yourself, believe me,
Cary T. Grayson
