Dearest Altrude
You did so much to brighten my Xmas. except letting me see you—thank you with all my heart
It seems ages since we were together—Mrs. Hitchcock told me she had told you when I was to be in New York & you said you would call me up—but as you did not I suppose other things claimed you
I do hope you were not ill
Our Xmas was a very nice one with many lovely assurances from friends—Gertrude is wonderfully well—and Elizabeth has been with me 2 weeks She is so bright & sweet it is a joy to have her.
The triplets are on the West Coast
With a blessed new year for you all and love
always
“Miss Edith”
