Dearest Altrude—
You were dear to add to my Xmas. spirit—& so generously and I hope to share them with you before the year is out.
It seems ages since I saw you so please let me know if you are where I can see you—It was a joy to see William—his lovely little wife & precious baby
Xmas. Eve—I know you all had a happy time together—they told me they were all going to be at the Farm with you—We had Elizabeth & the triplets with us—The girls had to go back to N. york after 4 days—but they were gay while they were here—The weather is so lovely I am sure you and George are enjoying the country—Happy New Year to you both and may every good fortune attend 1955 is the wish
“Miss Edith”
