The enclosed explains itself. You may have some information about this subject, would you be good enough to answer this, or send me word what reply to make. Unless, you have some reason to the contrary I would tell them to remove their governor when they desired to do so.
I have just returned from a game of golf with the President and Mrs. W. This is his first game since last Friday. All went well with him, with and a decided improvement in his nose breathing—which makes me feel happy—but it is too early to crow yet as a lot of local treatment will be needed for some time—Of course, all this is strictly between us and the angels—I am just in receipt of a long telegram from Mr. McAdoo saying that he had an acciden accident which fractured a rib—although, specialist says his throat is better it is not by any means well and further treatment is rest is imperative. He is now in San-Francisco—and is going to Portland and Seattle on an inspection tour—the thence to S Glacier Park for two weeks. If any asks about him—just say that he is on an inspection tour of rail-roads in the West etc etc—
The party last night was a great success except this morning it was hard to rise at seven o’clock—will tell you more later—I had a few minutes, I am working intensely these days—trying to do things like you as it would please you—my darling—Excuse composition as the s many interruptions in this office make it impossible to write a straight line of thought.
With all my love
