Dearest Trudie
Clayton left early this morning for East Hampton. His Father could not afford to leave as he was out of work for a month during the Summer. Clayton came to see me last night at Mr. Ross asking if he could take his wife and boy along. I sent you a wire and hoped it would be alright for them to come.
Bernie called me from New York this morning. He wants you & me to come stay with him, dinner and go to theater Friday night. I don’t see how we can refuse without hurting his feelings. René & Junior are there—but all othersr member of family are still abroad. Lets go—His address is 6 West 52 Street—Telephone Circle 5806—
Everything fine here—
Miss you. Best love—
Cary
