Dearest Trudie

Davis arrived all right. We opened the house this morning & found everything satisfactory. I had a man to fix the plaster in William’s room. It is quite a large area.

Davis tells me you are having trouble to get drawing room for October 2—Let me know if you want to me to try at this end of the line. It is uncomfortably warm here, so from this viewpoint, possibly a few days delay will not be much amiss after all, but I miss you all and am anxious to get you home again. No new news on My Own and Zen—I loved the letter from the dear little fellows, I am keeping it.

Scoop won yesterday and his earnings amounted to $2500,00 which is helpful always with a victory. Martin is right on the job when it comes to business—I will call you from New York.
