Dearest Trudie

Glad you are back home safely. I am sure you had a splendid trip and most enjoyable, except I am afraid you encountered rainy weather. It has been raining off and on for several days here.

I am anxiously looking forward to our meeting at Saratoga Springs. I dropped Mrs Barklie that I would arrive Saturday and you were motoring with Mrs. Brown and you would come Monday.

I am going out to dinner to-night at Dr Rixey’s. He has is having several members of his Brother John’s family present. I had the Doctor, Auntie and the Doctor’s two nieces—Mrs. Compton and Mrs. Moore, to lunch with me at the Shoreham yesterday. I think they enjoyed it.

The Jesse Jones’ have arrived at the Shoreham but I have not seen them yet.

Fluvanna’s second money yesterday was $800.— which helps.

Kiss the boys for me and a heart full of love for my darling sweetheart—
