Dearest Trudie

I passed a good night on the train. The weather wass cool all night and to my great surprise found it cool and pleasant upon my arrival in Washington. Henry Spencer had his motor at the station to meet him, so he drove me to Mr. Ross’ where I arrived about quarter to eight o’clock. Mr. Ross and breakfast were ready for my return.

I greatly enjoyed my little visit with you all but I am homesick for you to-day. Hope Cary did not catch cold last night and that you returned home safe and sound. It will be a day a two before I can send Zoona’s medicine as we have none on hand. Many thanks for all your goodness to me. I love you—and kiss the dear little fellows for me

Yours—always

Cary
