Dearest Trudie
Your letters conveying news from you and the boys make m me feel very happy—In my mind’s eye I can see you and Gordon and Cary at church. I only wish that I could have been with you, too.
I am sending the tonic for Mrs. King. Note, one bottle is to be taken only before breakfast and the other before lunch and dinner. This will improve her apettite and help generally.
Mrs. Barklie called me over the phone to congratulate Fluvanna. I had a line from Mr. Burch saying all was going well with the horses at Saratoga and all of mine could run—now.
The races begin at Saratoga on the last day of July—but I am planning to meet you in New York Friday evening, the 3rd of August. Lets go and have a real good time and hope we will win, but anyway, have a genuine frolic. Delighted to hear about the Black Mountain good news. Hope you can have the visitors you speak of. You will enjoy going to see Amy in September. By all means, do so. Give my love to the boys & Zoona and best for your dear self—
