Dearest
It is now 8.30 a.m. and we have just shoved off from Hoboken Pier. I miss you terribly and have been thinking of about you almost constantly.
I couldn’t speak half what my heart felt yesterday—on the way to the train— for fear I would weep—This is just a little farewell kiss, and with all my love . Good bye and may God bless and protect and watch over my darling Trudie and dear little Gordon in my absence—
