Rear Admiral Grayson,
White House,
Washington, DC

My Dear Admiral:

You will remember that I met you through our mutual friend William Ketner, when you were in this city with President Wilson a few months ago.

I am writing you to ask if you will allow the President to enjoy some choice Sea food products that I have prepared for my own use, and for my friends.

Now that the President is convalescing, I am in hopes that you will find it agreeable to permit him to enjoy salads, or enjoy eating this food directly as it is prepared, and inasmuch as I have a number of products that are of a dainty construction, I am in hopes that it will agree with him, and he will enjoy it.

I am enclosing a photograph of our cannery, as I want to impress on your mind the fact that these products are not prepared in an ordinary fish canning establishment. Our work, as Brother Kettner will tell you, is conducted with the same scrupulous care as they practice in any home in the country. Cleanliness and sanitation is our big stick, and we swing it all the time.

When you were here, I told you that a little later I had some products that I wanted you to enjoy personally. I have been waiting until these goods were thoroughly seasoned. Now they are ready, and with your permission I would be very glad to send you enough for yourself, the President, and Secy. Tumulty.

With kind personal regards, I am

Yours Very Truly,

NC Sprague
Vice Pres.
