My dear Miss Gordon
The messages you and the Doctor sent us made our hearts very warm. We have thought and spoken of you both very, very often during these happy days, and Edith joins me in most affectionate thanks and greetings. It is delightful to think of your being together, and I am taking the liberty of making this a message to him as well as to you. I know that that is the way to compliment him most. I hope that he will stretch his leave to the utmost and that each day may be for both of you even better than the last.
Cordially and sincerely Yours,
Woodrow Wilson
