Text

My dear Admiral

I write to suggest Dr. William Gerry Morgan.

After my trying campaign re-election Congress my stomach nerves kicked back.

Dr. Morgan prescribed a regimen that worked like a miracle. His mutton broth soothed and mollified every nerve in the body, giving appetite for the roast meats and vegetables.

The chef at the Army & Navy Club prepared the regimen for me. He was a wonder, too. He was a Swiss, and I helped him get his Naturalization papers but I do not recall his name. He is probably still at the club.

The following year, in Vienna, I was told by their best stomach men that Morgan, of Washington, DC, was the best in America, and before I had mentioned him.

Of course you will know what is best. I write this only as a suggestion. I was Congressman two terms. I remember you very well.

Very truly yours,

AW Lafferty
