Dear Mr. Wheeler:
Thank you for your cordial note of July 8th. While I appreciate the compliment of your offer, nevertheless I do not feel that it would be fair to the other articles I plan to write. If I didn’t give you the cream you would not think the other articles were any good, and if you got the skim milk you would never ask for the cream.
