Dear “Pa”: -
I am very sorry I cant visit you, but it will be impossible for us to reach Maine this summer- or before you go West. I do so much appreciate the invitation!
I hope to meet you in Rochester, and that you can TRUTHFULLY say, as you look me in the eye - that you never saw me looking better.
We miss you here!
