Dear Doctor

From the News Paper Accounts it Seams to Me it is Taking Our Dear President A long Time to Gain His Strength, I saw Him when He was at St Louis in the Hotel Stadler, He looked Good But A little Overworked, I have had A Nervious Ailment, Some Time Ago But By A Simle Treatment I have My Strength back.

Here is My Receipt: First Stop Worrying, Take A cold Bath every Morning Rub My entire Body Either with A course Towel or Brush until the Blood com Comes to the Surface So I look like A Salmon, If The Presedent is Too Week to go to the Bath Room, Rub Him While in Bed Especialy His Back, then spon Sponge Him with Fresh Cold Water, and By all Means let Him have all the Fresh Air He can get, no Draft However, Remind Him of Deep Breething.

If I where at Washington I would get His Dear Self out in a Short Time Feeling Bully, For Nurishment give Him Such as Horlock Maulted Milk with Eggs or Egg Fosfade Lots of Fosfade, this I got From Dr JL PerremanSurgan Whose Lecturs on Anatomy are on the Walls of the Best Med Colages of Our Country If Im am informed Right

If Congress Would Ratify that Treddy Tready at once, even though they wouldc Amend it later on It would Help our Presedent As I Believe That Tready is Uppermost in his Mind & the Woorement is what is Keeping Him Down, Tell Him for Me The Whole Congerssmen Could not have done half as Well as He If they all had ben over to France For 10 Yrs, Whey none of them can Talk a dozen Words in French, And that is the First thing A Frenchman Expects of one Who wants anything out of Him

Hopeing You Will Receive this Letter in the Spirit it is Send From A True American, and that We may Soon here that Our Honered Presedent is Again Feeling Well & Harty, So He can Finish the Work He so Manly Started

I beg to remain your Respectfly
