I have been much interested in the case of the President as have thousands of others. However as a physician if the enclosed clipping be true, and I assume it to be, as your name is attached thereunto, permit me the privilege of making a suggestion in the spirit of one Professional Brother to another. If it has been decide to defer operation for a time, may I not without being misunderstood suggest you give your Illustrious Patient the enclosed Prescription. It has in my hands been a most potent and satisfactory remedy in Prostatic trouble and chronic irritation of neck of the Bladder. The drug is put up in tablet form by Sharp & Dohme Baltimore. If you are not familliar with this remedy in this form of trouble may I not hope you will give it a trial. I amAfter thoughtIn the fear you may consider this, because given without solicitation, a quack letter it is but propper to say I belong to The Regular SchoolAm a graduate of two medical colleges; and have practiced continuously for 42 years except when a member of Congress from the 18th Ohio District; and prescribed for President Cleveland when during his second administration, he had Rheumatic Gout so bad he could not walk.
