You precious Child

I have just come in (10-30 P.M–) after being out since early this morning, and found the lovely books with the little note that is worth more to me than even such a coveted possession—and I am overcome—

I really don’t know how to thank you or express my appreciation—

Please fill in all the blank spaces with the things I want to say and can’t—

If old Dr. Syntax ever had as good a time on his first tour as we did on ours I am surprised he stopped with three—and I can truly say that in nothing have you ever failed, or disappointed me—and that these wonderful books will always stand as a wonderful evidence of something that is too deep for words—and just the possession of them is a joy that I love to feel I owe to you—

With all my heart little girl I am

Yours always,

EBG
