My dear Dr

I am so distressed to know you were in bed again & suffering with that same pain—but I hope long ere this it is gone and you are again out with the sport you love so—

I am so glad your horses and colts have done so splendidly—and hope they will keep your colors flying and be first under the wire the rest of the meeting—Randolph and I have thought of you & Trudie so much—and he now is studying maps etc to see whow we can make the trip from Stockbridge to Atlantic City to have at least a day & night with you all en route and I will write Trudie as soon as the trip is marked out—

At any rate we would not get there before the end of the first week in Sept. or more likely the middle of the 2nd week—say the 9th or 10th

We have had a very lovely trip which I will tell you of when you get home—and it has done us both good

Randolph joins me in love and the hope that you are taking care of your dear self—
