Mr. Joseph P. Tumulty
The White House
Washington, DC

My dear sir:-

As I have understood that, during the convalescence of the President, he has been neentertained from time to time, by reading and singing, it is requested, at her suggestion, that my sister be granted the privelege of singing for him at such time as may be convenient and acceptable.

My sister, Madame Emile Huegly - Camp, of Berne, Switzerland, is visiting her home here for a short time. She has had the pleasure of singing for several of the troop units, where she was well received. She is returning to her home on October 22, 1919.

May I not take this opportunity to express our sympathy for the President in his illness, and our wish for his speedy recovery to his normal health and activity.

Yours very truly,

Oswald E. Camp,
Junior Civil Engineer,
