TUESDAY, I rode to the Supreme War Council with the President in the morning. These conferences were to continue daily, arranging preliminaries for the first meeting of the peace delegates on . As a result of these conferences, the apportionment of delegates of the various countries was agreed upon and a general program was laid down so that the stage could be set for the raising of the curtain on the historic scene of the eighteenth of January.
