Dear Earl,

I have just a few minutes before Daddy brings my horse to the door.

Well have you seen anyone you know yet?

I saw Rena last night she said that James and Henry had met and stayed together one night. It was a great reunion. They cried and kissed one another and done everything even foolish girls do when they meet.

Sidney R came home last night.

Sadie Walcott is buried Th.day. She died Tuesday morning with pleural pneumonia + flue She is the one that has been working for Artie.

I expect a letter from France to day.

Monday night Marie and I called down to R. Banks.

A certain Mr Newhuis is there visiting. A. has been there in France eight months. He hates it. He fought only eleven days.

My horse is at the door so I'll be missed wouldn't you rather get no letters than these excuses for the same? Or are you learning to take what comes?

"Cum Amo"
Ruth
