Text

My dear George:

Thank you with all my heart for your letter of November 11th. I need not tell you what pleasure it gave me, because you know my deep affection for you and how much it pleases me to have you think of me in such ways. I wish I could write you a real letter, but you will know that whether this is a real letter or not, it is a real message of affection.

Please do not think of sending me those bonds. I had been happy to forget that little obligation long ago, and I hope with all my heart that you will forget it. It was a happy thing that I was able to help.

All join in warmest messages.

Affectionately yours,
Woodrow Wilson
