Dear Mr. President

Referring to your note of May 11, 1917, requesting weekly reports of allotments made from the $100,000,000 appropriation for "National Security and Defense," I have to advise you that since the date of the ninth report transmitted to you by letter of July 14, 1917, notices of your approval of the following additional allotments have been received at the Treasury Department:

Reports relating to further allotments will be furnished you weekly as requested.
