My dear Mr. President

I enclose to you a letter which I received from Doctor Mott, explaining the report which he and Mr. Root submitted to you. I have telegraphed Doctor Mott, Mr. Root, and Mr. Cyrus H. McCormick that they have an appointment with you at twothirty Thursday afternoon, August 30th.
