Text

Mr. President

On my way back from Russia I prepared a letter for Mr. Dodge, Mrs. McCormick and a few other friends in which I told somewhat intimately of some of my experiences and impressions in connection with the Orthodox Church and other religious bodies in that country. Of course, no reference has been made to the political or diplomatic aspects of our Special Mission. Mr. Dodge has suggested that you and Mrs. Wilson might be interested in reading this letter. I am, therefore, sending you a copy. Possibly Mrs. Sayre also would like to see it later. Since my return I have been glad to learn of the invaluable service being rendered by Mr. Sayre in the Association work among the soldiers overseas.

With deep gratitude to you for offering me the recent boundless opportunity to serve,

Faithfully yours,
John R. Mott
