Text

My dear Mr. Churchill:

This is a line to send you my warm good wishes for your journey and to hope for you a safe return. It naturally makes one a little nervous to see one's friends cross the ocean.

I took up the matters about which we talked the other day with the head of the department and think I have things in course to carry out the essential purpose you had in mind.

With best wishes,Mr. Winston Churchill, Hotel Lafayette,Washington, D. C.

Cordially and sincerely yours,Woodrow Wilson
