Dear Governor

If you can find time, please read the enclosed In accordance with your wish, I sought a conference with Mr. Redfield and am insulted for my pains! You will see, from my letter, that I am swallowing a great deal for peace. I think I shall join the Army so I can get a chance to fight! It is difficult to suppress my Scotch and Irish but I shall do it to save you annoyance. This requires no answer. It is for your information merely
