Scope and Content

The Woodrow Wilson Letters collection includes personal and professional correspondence written by Woodrow Wilson that the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum possess in its archival collection. The papers date from approximately 1855 – 1984, with the bulk of documents created between 1900 and 1924. The papers are divided into 132 folders according to the recipient of the letter or the subject matter of the letter. The contents include personal letters from Woodrow Wilson to relatives, professional correspondence between Woodrow Wilson and others, and documents relating to significant events in Woodrow Wilson’s life such as his birthday celebration in Staunton, Virginia, his first inauguration, his daughters’ weddings, and his funeral.
