CABLE ADDRESS HAZYPRICE

My dear Mr. McAdoo

Referring to my previous letter in regard to the torpedo protector, I enclose form letter that is to-day received from the Navy Department, which is a specimen of reflects the inertia with which those who are investigating the many suggestions that have been made, are affected.

In the first place, I never wrote any letter to the Navy Department on the 15th of June. Their acknowledgment of a communication from me under that date is, therefore, a mistake. In the second place, the letter shows that exactly three months have elapsed between the date at which the supposed letter was written and the time of its acknowledgment.

It is unthinkable that a delay of this sort could have occurred in the Treasury Department under your administration. No reply to this letter is necessary.

Yours very truly,
Theo. H. Price

Hon. WM. G. McAdoo, Esq.,
Secretary of the Treasury,
