Text
My dear Mr. President
Robert Lansing
Enclosure:
The President.
What do you think about this proposed visit of Albert Thomas? My own inclincation is against it, but it seems to have gone so far that to interfere might have a bad effect. Possibly the impression made upon Thomas would be very useful as he could carry back the picture of the loyalty of Labor in this country.
I would like to send a prompt answer to Mr. Walling.
Faithfully yours,Robert Lansing

The President.
