Text

Dear Mr. President

I am sending you a copy of the version of your address in German which was made for The World in Paris and scattered over the German trenches by the French aviators. Afterwards, another edition was issued by the Embassy in Paris. In case you haven't seen it, I thought it might interest you. The parts in red were not printed in Germany.
Mrs. Cobb compared it carefully last night with the original text and says that while it is clumsy in places the translation, on the whole, is adequate and satisfactory.

With sincere regards,
Frank I Cobb.
